Mayflower Primary School Music Programme

Learn more about the MFPS Music Programme in this special MOE feature, Developing Musical Talents at Mayflower Primary School:

“Mayflower Primary School seeks to uncover its students’ talents and lead them to reach their potential. Students are developed and trained in a variety of aesthetics skills, knowledge and values through the school's exemplary arts education programme.

By providing opportunities to learn musical instruments like guzheng and stringed instruments, the school hopes to develop a culture of appreciation in music amongst its students.”

Mayflower Primary School P5 Pupils featured at the 2015 Venice Biennale

Our Primary 5 pupils participated in a unique global art project Frequencies. Devised by renowned London-based Columbian artist Oscar Murillo, this project involved young people in schools across more than 20 countries. Art canvases were affixed onto our Primary 5 pupils in Semester 1 on which they were free to capture and document their daily creative and critical thought processes. Oscar Murillo has been invited to participate with Frequencies to the Venice Biennale, which runs from 9 May to 22 November 2015. Our pupils’ canvases will be featured as part of this exhibited work in Venice. You can learn more about the project on http://frequenciesproject.net/#/.
